Therefore, the MULTIFUTURE project will develop and evaluate transition scenarios, leveraging 'beyond GDP' measures to forge paths that harmonize economic growth with environmental sustainability and social equity.

What are the Project Goals?

Extend existing transition scenarios to incorporate alternative economic paradigms based on a wide spectrum of economic and social theories, offering new policy options and instruments for sustainable societies.

Utilize 'beyond GDP' indicators in the development of quantified transition scenarios, assessing their potential to achieve a climate-neutral, just, and resilient society.

Employ anticipatory systems mapping and social simulations for stakeholder engagement, facilitating the co-creation of alternative futures and the development of policies that balance trade-offs and mitigate negative impacts.

Integrate state-of-the-art modeling to assess the economic, environmental, technological, and social impacts of alternative paradigms and policies, including their implications for environmental and social justice.

Provide policymakers with a comprehensive understanding of alternative paradigms and a broader range of policy options, supported by insights into public perception and acceptance through a large-scale survey of over 18,000 citizens in Europe.
